Synopsis
Eine Wohnung in einem Häuserkomplex in Haifa. Hier ist der zehnjährige Noam nach der Trennung seiner Eltern der einzige Mann im Haus. Während seine Mutter ganztätig berufstätig und seine große Schwester mit sich selbst beschäftigt ist, schlüpft er in die vakante Vaterrolle. Er kümmert sich verantwortungsvoll um die kleine Schwester, um Ruhe, Ordnung und Sauberkeit. Aber ist er der Rolle des Erwachsenen auch gewachsen? Auf dem schmalen Grat des Balkongeländers hoch über dem Straßenpflaster sucht er die Balance zwischen Erinnerung und Erwartung, zwischen Hoffnung und Verzweiflung. Bei diesen waghalsigen Ausflügen an den Rand des Abgrunds lernt Noam, sich den inneren Druck zu nehmen und auf andere auszuüben. Ein optimistischer Kinderfilm, der das Thema Scheidung auf einfühlsame Weise und sehr authentisch erzählt. |

Synopsis
An apartment in a housing complex in Haifa. Since his parents´ separation, the nine-year-old Noam is the sole man of the house. While his mother has a full-time job and his older sister is occupied with her own problems, he slips into the role of the missing father. He responsibly takes care of his little sister, and maintains peace, order, and cleanliness. But is he adult enough to fill this adult role? Walking the thin line of a balcony wall high above the pavement he seeks the balance between memory and expectation, between hope and despair. In these daring journeys to the edge, Noam learns to take the pressure inside him and release it on others. An optimistic children´s film that deals with the issue of divorce in a sensitive, very authentic way. |
