Synopsis
Für Zaza wird die Zeit knapp. Er ist bald 32 und soll endlich heiraten, nach georgischer Tradition eine Jungfrau, schön, aus guter Familie, und am besten auch noch reich. Zazas Eltern, Yasha und Lili, sind sicher, daß ihr Sohn eine gute Partie ist, klug, charismatisch und gutaussehend. Die beiden schleppen ihren Sohn von einer möglichen Braut zur nächsten. Zaza hat keine Wahl, spielt das Spiel seiner Familie mit, die festhält an überkommenen Bräuchen. Aber irgendwie schafft er es, jedes Mal wieder zu entschlüpfen. Zazas Eltern haben keine Ahnung davon, daß Zazas Herz schon längst vergeben ist. Judith ist sinnlich, stark und faszinierend. Aber Judith ist auch geschieden, Mutter einer sechsjährigen Tochter, älter als Zaza und von marokkanischer Herkunft. So hält Zaza ihre Existenz vor seinen Eltern besser geheim. Als die georgische Familie von Judith Wind bekommt, gerät Zaza an einen Wendepunkt in seinem Leben. Er muß wählen zwischen seiner Familie mit ihren einengenden Regeln und ihrer Tradition oder der Liebe seines Lebens. |

Synopsis
Zaza has run out of time. He's almost 32 and his family wants to see him married. But tradition dictates that Zaza has to choose a young virgin. She has to be beautiful and from a good family, preferably rich. Zaza's parents, Yasha and Lily, think their only son is a very good catch. He's smart, charismatic and handsome. Yasha and Lily drag Zaza to meet potential brides and their families. Zaza has no choice. He plays along with his family, advocates of the suffocating traditions of their Georgian heritage. But Zaza always manages to somehow get out of being engaged. What his parents don't know is that Zaza is already in love. Judith is sensuous, strong and intriguing. She is also a divorcée with a 6-year-old daughter. So Zaza has kept Judith a secret from his family. Zaza is about to experience a turning point charged with family antics, laughter and tears. A crucial moment in any man's life. He will have to choose between respect of the strict confines of family and tradition, or the love of his life. |
